Tumor Biology covers all aspects of tumor markers, molecular biomarkers, tumor targeting, and mechanisms of tumor development and progression. Studies in other areas of basic, clinical and translational cancer research are also considered in order to promote connections and discoveries across different disciplines. The course is focused on providing students with detailed knowledge of the molecular mechanisms leading to tumor development, both with regard to the transformation of the normal cell into a tumor cell and the tumor as an organ consisting of many different cell types.
